On the Use of interpersonal metadiscourse markers in conclusion genres of language testing articles
The present study examined contrastively the use of interpersonal metadiscoursemarkers in 100 conclusions of testing articles written by Iranian & Europeanlanguage testing experts. The selected corpus was analyzed through the Dafouz’s(2003) taxonomy of interpersonal metadiscourse markers model. The resultsrevealed the metadiscursive resources are used differently both between the twolanguages. As for the two authors, the results revealed that interpersonal markerswere present in both groups of texts while Iranian scholars use interactionalelements more frequently compared with their Europeans….
