Flexural behaviour of steel fibre-reinforced concrete under cyclic loadingThis paper presents the results of cyclic loading tests on fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC). The main objectiveof this research is to evaluate simultaneously the influence of the workability, the steel fibres and the compressivestrength on the flexural behaviour of FRC under cyclic loading. Prismatic concrete specimens havingdimensions of 150*150* 700 mm were fabricated with concrete of various workability and differentcompressive strengths (30, 60 and 80 MPa) and reinforced with hooked end steel fibres of aspects ratios of65 and 80 at contents of 0.5 and 1%. Stress-strain model for concrete under cyclic loadingA hysteretic stress–strain model is developed for unconfined concrete with the intention of providing efficientmodelling for the structural behaviour of concrete in seismic regions. The proposed model is based on thefindings of previous experimental and analytical studies. The model for concrete subjected to monotonic andcyclic loading comprises four components in compression and tension – an envelope curve (for monotonic andcyclic loading), an unloading curve, a reloading curve and a transition curve.
